Mallusk Extension

The brief from the client was to provide a larger open plan kitchen, dining and living area for their ever expanding family. A single-storey extension was added to the rear of the property to achieve this.

One of the problems to overcome was that the existing kitchen and dining area were detached from the garden, as access was through a narrow utility. The utility room was repositioned upstairs, this then allowed a direct connection to the garden from the enlarged open plan living, ding and kitchen area. The living space now benefits from direct sunlight and adding a lantern roof light really increased the amount of natural light flooding into the space. A paved patio area opposite the french doors is planned for a later date.

Note: Future photos to follow once render has dried and extension painted to match existing.
